Canada’s National Firearms Association 2025 Recap
As 2025 comes to a close, we reflect on a year defined by focus, persistence, and principled advocacy. From coast to coast, the National Firearms Association remained committed to advancing the interests of law-abiding Canadian firearms owners through sustained political engagement, public education, and awareness-building at every level.
Throughout the year, we were tireless in Ottawa—meeting with decision-makers, engaging officials, and pressing for meaningful, evidence-based change. This work was complemented by our presence across the country at competitions, matches, and industry events, including IPSC, IDPA, and other shooting sports that highlight the skill, discipline, and responsibility at the core of Canada’s firearms community.
We also used our platform to support and bring attention to Canadian businesses that sustain this community, while ensuring their perspectives were represented in broader policy discussions. Beyond our borders, we continued to represent Canadian firearms owners internationally, including at forums such as the United Nations, where high-level declarations often filter down into domestic policy and directly affect Canadians at home.
Along the way, we stood alongside other responsible, freedom-minded organizations and associations, recognizing that firearms policy does not exist in isolation from wider civil liberties and public policy debates.
None of this would be possible without the commitment of our members, volunteers, and supporters. Your trust fuels our work and strengthens our voice.
Here are just a few highlights from 2025.
As we look ahead, we remain resolute. Here’s to a strong and determined 2026—continuing the fight in Ottawa, promoting sport and safety, supporting Canadian businesses, and defending the rights of firearms owners across Canada and beyond.
♟Why It Matters: The battle for firearms rights is far from over. As history has shown, the Liberals, with their NDP and Bloc Allies will come at us again. It’s crucial for us to remain strong, stay informed, and maintain a strong front and membership. Together, we can defend our rights and ensure a secure future for hunters and sport shooters across Canada.
