Stornoway: Talking Gun Rights in Poilievre’s Backyard

NFA Lobbyist and Ontario Director Tom Mavin recently attended the Conservative Hunting and Angling Caucus in Ottawa, bringing together parliamentarians, stakeholders, and advocates from across Canada.

The event began with a day of presentations in the historic Sir John A. Macdonald Building, followed by a symposium focused on property rights in British Columbia. The event concluded with a remarkable Wild Game Dinner at Stornoway, the Official Residence of the Leader of the Opposition, where attendees were welcomed by Pierre Poilievre himself.

In his opening remarks, Poilievre spoke extensively about the rights of lawful firearms owners and the importance of protecting Canada’s hunting, sport shooting, and outdoor traditions.

Throughout the evening, attendees had the opportunity to meet and speak with numerous Members of Parliament who continue to take a keen interest in defending the rights and freedoms of Canadians.

Make no mistake, the Members of Parliament featured in this video are the ones in government standing on the front lines in defence of the rights and freedoms of lawful Canadians. While much of their work happens away from the cameras, their efforts continue to play a critical role in the fight to protect firearms ownership, hunting traditions, and individual liberty in Canada.
