Trudeau Gloats On Anniversary Of Handgun Ban

In a bold, yet disingenuous post on X, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau marked the second anniversary of his handgun ban by claiming it prioritized the safety of Canadians over the interests of the gun lobby. However, the Toronto Police Association took offense and swiftly dismantled his claims, pointing out that violent crime has drastically worsened on his watch.
The Association’s damning response publicly embarrassed the PM, highlighting a 45% increase in shootings and a 62% rise in gun-related homicides compared to last year, with 85% of seized guns being traced to the U.S. Their statement called Trudeau’s remarks “out of touch and offensive,” revealing that his handgun ban has done nothing to curb violence and has instead targeted law-abiding firearms owners.
Trudeau’s continued deflection of responsibility onto legal firearms owners has drawn criticism, as the crime wave under his leadership escalates, leaving Canadians to question the effectiveness of his policies – and questioning his competency, or worse yet, honesty and integrity, in his position of power.
