Yukon Firearms Owners: The Time to Act is Now!

Public Consultation is now open.

The Government of Yukon is seeking public input as it develops territorial firearms legislation. The consultation is open until August 7, 2026.

According to the government, the proposed legislation would establish a framework for a territorial firearms advocate whose responsibilities could include supporting lawful firearm owners,

promoting firearms safety and education, advising the Minister of Justice on firearms-related matters, and engaging with Yukoners on firearms issues.

If you live in the Yukon and would like your views to be considered, you can review the proposal and submit feedback through the Government of Yukon’s public engagement website before the consultation closes.

With this announcement from the Yukon Government, and with provinces like Alberta and Saskatchewan pushing back against Ottawa’s firearms confiscation measures, it is now more important than ever for Ontario’s government to table its own legislation to help put an end to the Liberal “gun grab” once and for all.
