The Year Ahead – As we look to the year ahead, we know that the challenges for fire-arms owners will be considerable. Justin Trudeau’s amnesty covering the May 1 Order in Council firearms ban is coming to an end. This ban includes over 1,500 types of rifles and shotguns, with seemingly more firearms added each week. There is also talk of handgun bans on a provincial level. It appears that the federal government is holding the proverbial money carrot in front of the noses of the provincial premiers to influence their decision-making process. At this point, you may be asking,
“How the heck did we get here?” There are a variety of reasons.
